Alwin Magimay is a digital expert across many fields – media, businesses, start-ups, and finance. He acquired his digital know-how across a 30-year career that saw him work in various impactful roles across the Asia Pacific and published extensively, most notably a recent co-authored book on accelerating business transformation using Citizen Development.
Alwin started his career in 1991 with Andersen Consulting in Singapore (later Accenture) where he became one the founding members of their Media and Entertainment practice.
He transferred to London to lead several high-profile business transformations in 1993 before becoming a Partner in the London Office in 2001. In 2006, Alwin returned to Singapore to pioneer Accenture’s thinking in digital monetisation and led Accenture’s Digital and Data practices before joining KPMG UK to establish their digital practices. Then he joined McKinsey where he specialised in large scale and complex digital business building programmes, becoming responsible for McKinsey Digital Labs. His impressive digital track record led to an appointment to the Board of SMART London, an advisory board that helped the Mayor of London put digital and data at the heart of making the capital a better place to live, work and invest. His digital exploits culminated in a visiting Professorship of Digital Transformation at Imperial College.
